Welcome to the University of Roehampton and the University of Roehampton Students’ Union, commonly known as RSU.

This website should give you a brief introduction to what we offer of things we do. If you want to find out more please drop into the union, give us a call or send us an email.

The Students’ Union is here for the students of Roehampton. It has a team of 4 sabbatical officers and 25 part time officers, voted in by the students, for the students. They are here to represent you throughout the year so if you would like to see something change then make sure you let one of us know.

There is something for everyone here, with over 60 Societies and Sports Clubs at Roehampton; it is hard not to find something that interests you. Maybe you are interested in becoming a writer, a TV or Radio presenter? Maybe you would like to raise money for charity or volunteer? Maybe you would like to try something different? Whatever you’re interested in we have something for you (and if we don’t we can help you start something new!)

University is your chance to develop different skills and gain life experience so that you can go out and get the best job possible. The Students’ Union provides a range of opportunties and volunteering projects, to help you get the most out of your time here.

Alongside all the fun and extracurricular activity the Students’ Union also provides support and representation, if you are experiencing a difficult time or something is a concern then please get in touch, the union is here to represent you and resolve any issues.

We also strive to give you somewhere to relax and socialise with your friends and meet fellow students. The Union Bar offers offer food, drinks and entertainments throughout the week whether it is the quiz, sports, acoustic night, live bands through to karaoke. We also provide an entertainments programme that includes weekly events such as the Bop (Fridays), Fez Club (Weds) and larger events such as Freshers and the pinnacle event of the year the Summer Ball. 

University of Roehampton Partnership Charter

This document has been developed by the University and the Roehampton Students’ Union to describe how all students and staff of the University contribute to a cosmopolitan and friendly campus environment, with a strong sense of community, that is a stimulating and inspiring place in which to study, work and live. It is a statement of mutual intentions and expectations, which are put into practice through various policies, regulations, rules and handbooks.
