Welcome to the Academic Advice section of the website, which is run by Gemma Kelly, who is the Academic Advisor for Roehampton Students’ Union. Gemma's role is to support, guide and advice students through any Academic issues.

During your time at University, you may require advice about academic issues. Roehampton Students’ Union is equipped to deal with any Academic query & if we don’t know the answer we will know someone that does.

RSU is an independent organisation away from Roehampton University which can advise and guide students through the University’s academic & disciplinary regulations.

If you are considering an academic appeal against a decision of an Exam Board, or you wish to make a complaint the Students’ Union can explain the grounds on which you are able to appeal or complain and the correct process to do so. We provide free, confidential and impartial advice to all students, we are here to guide you through and hopefully reach your goals. 

Through experience, if you ever have a question, or things are not going well for you, you need to speak up asap, any problem that is identified quickly can be solved much more easily and we can implement the correct support. We cannot stress enough,  NEVER bury your head in the sand and assume things will be alright. Come and speak to Gemma Kelly in the Students’ Union, even if you have a question which you think is stupid, we have all been students too and are experienced in the world of Roehampton so take full advantage of our knowledge!!!
