Recruiting has now started for Programme Reps for the academic year 2012/13, if any 1st or 2nd year reps wish to continue with the role again next year or any new students to the role , please inform Gemma Kelly in the Students’ Union and your Programme Convener.
We will give you a brief overview of what a Programme Rep is and what you can gain form the role.
…. A Programme Rep is and elected student from each course, their main role is to liaise and represent the views and opinions of students on that course and to feedback to members of staff and the Students’ Union. As a Programme Rep you will sit on Programme Board Meetings and push for changes on your programme that the students want to see, you will also feedback what the student’s think is going particularly and enjoy. For this to be possible and to meet the full potential of the role you will be the central point of communication for students in your programme.
