Student Radio Roehampton, led by the Student Radio Society, is a fresh addition to the University scene, launching in the 2023/24 academic year. We're on the lookout for passionate individuals like you to help shape our exciting journey.
The Student Radio project was incubated by the College Community Leaders programme at Southlands College, in collaboration with the RSU, and was financially supported by Southlands Venture. The Student Radio Society is dedicated to representing the creators and operators behind Roehampton University's exclusive student internet radio station. Our primary goal? Making sure every student has the opportunity to be part of our vibrant and ever-expanding radio community. Your involvement in a student radio station can be a game-changer for your future career, offering skills like public speaking, audio production, marketing, and sound design. Student Radio Roehampton operates as a 24/7 internet radio station, connecting with all four of Roehampton University's colleges. We hold the official licenses to play commercially recognized music, whether it's your friend's homemade mixtape or the latest track from Ice Spice. We've got you covered legally!
In addition, we provide access to a state-of-the-art sound studio, allowing up to four presenters to host shows simultaneously. Imagine the possibilities for engaging talk shows covering topics like politics, sports, or anything you're passionate about discussing on the airwaves.
Even when our live broadcasts take a break, we keep the good vibes rolling with a 24/7 stream of student-curated music, sprinkled with announcements and updates on university events and news.
