Hello, my name is Lynsey Cowlishaw. I am running for Mature Student Representative.

I am running because Roehampton needs to generate a sense of community, support and belonging.

I am a performer, producer/director and have worked in events and entertainment for two decades. I understand how to bring people together. I have been part of the Roehampton system for the past four years, having completed an undergraduate film degree and now I am studying a masters in history. I was a semi-finalist, representing Roehampton University last year in the Santander Entrepreneur of the year awards 2021, pitching at Wembley. This year, I am a finalist in the AcceleratHER Barclays Eagle Labs Female Founder Awards.

There is a lack of communication and networking between departments and students that can be easily remedied for the benefit of all. 

Key Campaign Points:

If elected I will campaign on the Following things:

1. Campaign Point 1 Build a sense of community. This is fundamental to the quality of experience students and staff have while at Roehampton and is what they take forward into the world as alumni. I aim to bring people together through regular social events.

2. Campaign Point 2 Build a sense of community. I will push to bring in Workplace to the university to aid the above.

3. Campaign Point 3 Build a sense of community.  Once the above is in place, I will push for cross-department schemes, awards and projects.
