If I was to be elected as Froebel Deputy President, I would first want to ensure that all the amazing work carried out by Harrison and Amba over the last year is continued. Froebel is such a welcoming and friendly college to be a part of and I have experienced this first hand throughout my first two years at Roehampton; I want to continue to make sure this is the case for every single student that becomes a part of Froebel college, whether that’s living on Froebel or off campus and studying Education, Dance or Nursing.
Over the last year, Simon, JB, Harrison and Amba have put a lot of work into restoring the social side of the college after Covid-19 put a stop to it for a while. I think these social events, such as the Froebel Formal, Christmas dinner and on and off campus nights, have proved integral in creating such a strong community in our college. I will ensure that this is carried on and everyone gets just as an amazing experience as I have had so far.
Not only do I want to continue to create a strong community feel within the college, I also want to have more inter college events. We have the College Cup which is a very competitive event all year round, but I think there needs to be more social activities held between all the colleges to create one big community throughout the whole of the university.
As your Deputy President of Froebel, I will listen and take on board everything that you tell me, whether that is concerns, social ideas or if you just want to have a talk with someone. I want to make sure everyone that is a part of Froebel College has a one-of-a-kind experience, and walks away at the end of their studies being able to look back at all the fun and exciting events they took part in as a part of this college.
