Being able to hold a safe space for students that identify with the LGBTQ+ community is key. Some may have openly expressed themselves before and some will be figuring it out. With this inclusive community, you'll be able to meet new people and share expereinces without the fear of discrimination!! Im hoping to create a positive enviroment where we celebrate the diversity of students attending here!!!

I would like to:

• introduce more social activites amongst the LGBT community within Roey!

This could be seen through game nights, socials and evenings out! I really hope that this would also give me the opportunity to work with other neighbouring uni lgbt groups to bring together more people! 

• Being more open about certain topics

Some students may experience a burden when coming out- whether it's due to disapproving parents or the lack of acceptances within a community. Being able to express that not everyone has the most welcoming coming out might help comfort a lot of students. Talking about sexual health amongst the community.
