Hello Fellow Roe! I'm Zeesham, a Biomedical Science student and College President candidate. I've cherished my time at Whitelands College, embracing its legacy while serving as a Programme Representative and Senior Student Ambassador. My dedication to enhancing our vibrant campus life is reflected in my support for student societies and peers, fostering a community rich in diverse interests and academic pursuits.

Vision:

My vision for Whitelands College is to marry its historical elegance with modern dynamism. I aspire to create an inclusive environment where every student's voice is heard and their passions are nurtured. By upholding Whitelands' rich heritage and embracing future opportunities, I aim to make our college a beacon of unity, innovation, and academic excellence.

Key Goals:

• Elevating Student Engagement: I plan to introduce a series of events and initiatives that celebrate our diversity and bring our community together. From cultural festivals to academic symposiums, let's make Whitelands a buzzing hive of activity!
• Enhancing Communication and Representation: As your President, I will ensure that your voices are not just heard, but acted upon. I will establish regular forums where students can directly voice their concerns and ideas.
• Support and Wellbeing: Building on our existing well-being support, I will work to create more inclusive and accessible services, ensuring every student feels supported both academically and personally.
• Hybrid Learning and Accessibility: In response to the evolving educational landscape, I will champion flexible learning models, including hybrid and online options, ensuring that every student can access high-quality education in a way that fits their life.
• Improving Student Safety: My priority is to create a secure campus environment, advocating for strong safety measures and a zero-tolerance approach to harassment.
• Addressing Cost of Living: Understanding the financial pressures on students, I will advocate for comprehensive financial support systems and cost-effective campus services, from affordable meals to subsidized local transportation.
• Improving Facilities and Flexibility: I will advocate for enhanced facilities and greater flexibility in college schedules, ensuring that Whitelands meets the diverse needs of its student body.
• Preserving and Building on our Heritage: Whitelands is steeped in history, and I aim to both preserve and celebrate this. Let's create events and traditions that honour our past while making new memories.
