Dance to a New Beat: Elect Pryde for Froebel President
Let me introduce myself; my name is Pryde, some may know me as Jack. I'm a dance student at Roehampton. I am from Cheshire, just south of Manchester. I am an approachable individual with a solid dedication to witnessing the growth and success of those in my community. This commitment extends to the university college I'm fortunate to belong to and the student-led dance company, Third Row, of which I am currently a member on campus.
Given my professional background as a dancer, I draw parallels between performing for an audience and holding the role of Froebel College President. Collaborating with like-minded individuals to bring joy and facilitate the creation of unforgettable memories within Froebel community is a familiar experience for me.
Experiencing Froebel at its finest in regards to the multiple events I have attended, from Froebel Formal Dinner, the Christmas Dinner and the incredible boat party, these events are massive part of my university experience; I find it only right that I carry the baton from friends of mine Simran Gill and Dent Patrick to ensure these traditions are continued and embraced further by the future Froebel family. I believe that the strong friendship that I have adopted with Simon Dorman and Jonathan Miller while being a residential leader will also allow me to enable the community of Froebel to thrive.
Co-hosting the weekly quiz nights with Sophie Wiles, I've witnessed the power of these gatherings. I'm eager to introduce nights that go beyond Froebel. A fantastic idea to foster college fellowship is organising informal, lively, and competitive quiz nights, pitting accommodations within the college against each other, culminating in forming the ultimate quiz team to challenge all the other colleges.
Before shifting our attention to organising events on campus, it is a collective desire, to enhance the safety of Roehampton campus during the day and evening hours. Suppose I assume the role of Froebel president. In that case, I am committed to utilising all available resources to boost security presence and enhance lighting across the campus, ensuring improvement and an increase in its overall coverage.
In conclusion, I wish for us to strive for a Froebel where aspirations soar, progress is our constant companion, and a vibrant community spirit propels us forward. As your potential Froebel College president, I am dedicated to championing these ideals and ensuring the safety and well-being of every student. With your support, we can cultivate an environment where everyone can flourish, contributing to the collective success of Froebel. Let us elevate our college experience to new heights and forge a legacy of excellence, unity, and shared achievement.
Despite my absence around campus during the campaigning period due to my current studying abroad in Australia from February 12th to September, I am confident that my unwavering dedication and passion will overcome any challenges that may arise during the campaign.
Thank you for your time,
Pryde, the pride of Froebel.
