My name is Carmen Cecan, and I am honored to stand as a candidate for Froebel College President.

While I understand a third-year student may bring maturity and experience to this role, as a first-year student, I offer a unique advantage: fresh ideas, new perspectives, and a long-term commitment.  With three years ahead of me at Roehampton, I have the time and dedication to implement meaningful, lasting ideas that will positively impact our community.

Since childhood, I have been extremely ambitious and committed to everything I have taken part in. Giving up has never been an option for me. Additionally, I am a very creative, strong-minded individual who thrives in leadership roles.

However, I also deeply value teamwork. Inspired by the welcoming Froebel community and the incredible support of previous presidents, by continuing their legacy, I believe working together can allow us to create one beautiful picture. 'Like a butterfly spreading its wings and setting off a ripple that grows into a tsunami', every effort has the power to create meaningful transformation.

Cheaper Entry for Events, Bring a friend!

Let’s be honest— University is expensive. Between buying new outfits, exploring London, and settling into a new life, the costs pile up. That’s why I’ll work to make events more affordable, so you can save your money for what really matters (like those drinks!). 

To make these inclusive, I’ll ensure +1s are welcome, allowing you to bring your friends—even if they’re from another university. 

Enhanced Mental Health Support

Mental well-being is a priority. An idea I've had for a while is to host mindful colouring fairs— where students can unwind, relax, and spend time in a creative and enjoyable way with our friends. 

Froebel College Holidays

As your President, I will work to significantly lower the cost of holiday trips, ensuring affordability for all. Additionally, I will introduce a student poll to allow everyone to have a say in selecting holiday destinations to reflect all interests. 

Anonymous Reports and Concerns Box

Froebel College aims for a welcoming, family-like community. In order to achieve a feeling of safety, I aim to introduce an anonymous reports box, accessible online, where students can share any issue—be it on-campus or off-campus—without fear of exposure. 

In conclusion, I believe I am well-suited to be Froebel College President, as I am committed to representing every student voice and driving positive change to enrich our experience. With a blend of new perspectives, ideas and unwavering dedication, I will strive to address all challenges and act decisively. Choosing me means choosing a leader who values every suggestion, works tirelessly, and is determined to make Froebel College an inspiring, extraordinary, and most importantly fun community for all.
