🗳Vote for Abbigail to be your Whitelands president 🗳

I am in my Second year at Roehampton, I study Therapeutic psychology as I am interested in mental health and childhood traumas. I would like to apply for the Whiteland's College President role as I am dedicated to Whitelands and making it better.

I am Hard working and dedicated to making Whitelands better. I am always open minded and looking for ideas from other students, to which I will actively listen too their opinions. I am confident with speaking, standing up for people, I am also confident when it comes to social media and putting my face out there. I am very organised and like to be prepared for everything.

I have chosen these areas to focus on if I become president.

1) Cost of living

Transport:
I would like to work on providing a university bus to Kingston and extend the times and frequency of the university bus.

Community fridge on Whitelands 
Food donated from companies or students. For example anyone who would be leaving food behind when going away could donate it to a food bank instead of the bin when they return

Period products/sexual health
Provide free period products, free condoms (collect from NEST/ Roehampton SU or toilets), free STIs kits (anonymous – show a ticket to nest to collect

2) Teaching accessibility

Support with Education/Carers

• Short courses (CV builder, how to reference and essay support) run by the library - Have them come to Whitelands.

• Study rooms/ quite areas

• Provide more study areas/rooms on whitelands – Let students book classrooms to allow study groups.

3) Community

Sett bar

• Weekly events

• Stream sport events

• Monthly get together, game e.g. flat vs flat,  (Non/alcoholic) drinks and snacks, music, karaoke

Whiteland's holiday 
Budget friendly hoilday - Get the students to choose a location

Communication
Whitelands group chat, with all freshers and flat reps in, as well as all students living on campus. So updates or events can be sent to them.

Wellbeing

• Put posters up with a QR code for the wellbeing app.

• Support men's mental health (Get rid of the stigma – support groups, apps)

Events
Movies in William Norris theatre, BBQ, Outdoor cinema, summer festival, sport activities, weekend trips, day trips to theme parks
