Voice. Vision. Victory.

Hi, I’m Vinay Devgan, or as most of you know me, Vin. As a third-year BSc. Human Resources Management student, I’ve been actively involved in student representation—working as a Student Ambassdor, Representation Assistant at the Students’ Union and serving as College Outreach Officer. I’ve seen firsthand the challenges you face and the changes that need to happen. If elected Vice President of Education, my mission will be simple: to support every student in their academic journey and prepare you for success beyond graduation."

Future-Focused Support & Digital Literacy for All:

Success at university isn’t just about passing exams; it’s about preparing for life after graduation. As VP of Education, I’ll advocate for a Data-Driven Student Success strategy, using predictive analytics to track progress and identify students who need extra support whether through tutoring, mentorship, or skill-building workshops. I’ll also push for Digital Literacy for All, ensuring every student has the tech skills (like coding and data analysis) needed to stand out in today’s job market

Skills-Based Volunteering:

I will introduce Skills-Based Volunteering programs that let students gain practical, career-focused experience while contributing to our community. These opportunities will span areas like IT, project management, and event planning providing hands-on experience that complements your academic learning.

Holistic Student Well-Being to Enhance Academic Success:

I believe academic success is intrinsically linked to well-being. That’s why I will expand well-being programs, including stress management and financial literacy workshops. Education should also be flexible. I’ll advocate for 24-hour study spaces, ensuring you have access to quiet, well-equipped environments that cater to both independent study and collaborative work

Additionally, I will advocate for greater student awareness of the resources available, making sure every student knows how to access the support tailored to their unique needs, fostering a more inclusive and equitable learning environment

Sustainability and Hands-On Learning Opportunities

I’m committed to a Sustainable Campus, pushing for green practices such as energy-efficient infrastructure and waste reduction. Sustainability is our responsibility.. Additionaly, our university lacks dedicated hardware-focused computer labs. I will advocate for the creation of state-of-the-art labs, equipped with the necessary tools and resources for students to engage in real-world, hands-on learning. These facilities will support innovation and ensure that students graduate with both theoretical knowledge and practical, industry-relevant experience.

Peer-Led Workshops:

Our university is full of talented students who can support each other. I’ll introduce Student-Led Workshops, where students with expertise can lead their peers in subjects, technologies, and academic skills. This peer-to-peer learning will foster collaboration and enhance your academic experience

Conclusion:

I am dedicated to making sure every student receives the support, flexibility, and resources needed to succeed. Together, we can create an inclusive, supportive, and forward-thinking academic community. Your voice, your ideas, and your concerns will guide me every step of the way.
