Introduction

Hello Southlands! My name is Kshiteej, and I am excited to stand as your candidate for Southlands College President for the 2025-2026 academic year. Having served as the Southlands College Deputy President and as an active leader in the student communities, I am deeply committed to making Southlands a more inclusive, engaging, and supportive environment for all students. My goal is to ensure that your voice is heard and that we create a college experience which is memorable, vibrant, and beneficial for everyone.

My Vision

My vision for Southlands College is centered around three key pillars: Community, Opportunities, and Student Well-being.

1. Strengthening Community Spirit

• Organising more social, cultural, and fun events to bring Southlands students together and create a stronger sense of belonging.

• Encouraging collaborations with other colleges and societies to build a more connected Roehampton community.

• Enhancing communication channels between students and college leadership to ensure transparency and active student participation in decision-making.

2. Expanding Student Opportunities

• Providing more leadership and skill-building workshops to help students gain valuable experience for their future careers.

• Strengthening support for student-led initiatives and societies, ensuring they have the necessary resources to thrive.

• Introducing networking events with alumni and industry professionals to offer mentorship and career guidance.

3. Enhancing Student Well-being & Support

• Continuing to advocate for better facilities, including improvements in laundry services, study spaces, and recreational areas.

• Creating a more inclusive environment by ensuring all students feel supported, regardless of background or circumstances.
