Frances Tegan Hendricks

Hello, my name is Tegan and I am a second year psychology major. I am involved in many different clubs and societies such as theatre, archery and boxing. As an international student, I understand what it is like to struggle to find friends in a foreign country.

As your froebel deputy, my role would be to advocate for all the students, especially the international students who might feel isolated and not adequately represented or voiced . It is also important to me to advocate for the students who commute and students who study part-time as they do not always spend as much time on our campus which sometimes leads to the exclusion of their opinions regarding on-campus matters. As a barista at the hive, I interact and learn from many different people with multiple nationalities, ages and degrees while making great drinks and helping the planet. Being a flat Rep has brought me in contact with more international and part-time students and tried to create a  hospitable, friendly and safe environment for my flatmates. Having this role and first hand experience as an international student, and as someone who tries to bring people together, having events and meeting people who share similar interests are important.

I appreciate having the opportunity to stand for this role and will do my best to serve you and create an inclusive environment for all.

Friede, Freude, Freiheit!
