Rate

£10.85 Your hours of work will set in agreement between you and your line manager in advance of the dates in which you are asked to work. These will include a range of daytime and late night shifts offered on a variable hours basis.

JOB DESCRIPTION (Sept 2022)

Principal Duties

  • Provide ticketing and logistical support at our on-site commercial and non-commercial events.
  • Support RSU staff with events administration and promotion.
  • Support marketing opportunities (pop up activities, On-campus activations, face-to-face research).
  • Work at off-campus events under the supervision of the RSU Events and Marketing team to provide ticketing and logistical support.
  • Help facilitate daytime events, conferences, collaborations, and off-campus opportunities.
  • Support events research and development exercises that help shape new student opportunities.
  • Help with the promotion of our opportunities through our communications team.
  • Support our flagship events Freshers’, feature events, RSU Awards, Summer Ball.
  • Attend monthly meetings to discuss new ideas, review events, and upcoming opportunities.
  • Help foster a community and culture of support at Roehampton University.
  • Carry out duties at the request of the line manager that are consistent with the grading of the post.

Criteria Essential/Desirable 

Education, Experience and Training 

  • Current Student at Roehampton University (E)
  • Experience of office administration and customer service in a busy environment   (E)
  • Experience of working with students. (E)
  • Experience of working under pressure and dealing with changing situations (E)
  • Experience of office administration and customer service in a busy environment (E)
  • Experience of supporting students with complex welfare needs (D)

Skills/knowledge  

  • Ability to use IT (Competent user of Microsoft Office especially Excel, & other web-based tools) E 
  • Good organisation and planning skills with attention to details E 
  • Good (written & verbal) communication and interpersonal skills E 
  • Bystander Intervention training (D)
  • Recognised Health and Safety qualification (D)
  • Recognised Food Hygiene and Safety qualification (D)
