Our Advice Service will be closed for the Christmas break from 1:00 on Friday 20 December 2024. We will reopen on Tuesday 7 January 2025.
This means we will not be reading or responding to emails during this time. If you e-mail us over the Christmas break, we will get back to you as soon as possible when we reopen in the New Year. We may not be able to respond to all the enquiries we receive before we close for the Christmas period.
Additionally, our office will be closed on Friday 20 December, as well as on Thursday 2 January, and Friday 3 January. During these dates, our services will be available remotely only.
We appreciate that some of you may still need to access support over the Christmas break. We have collated the information below for details of who you can contact depending on your situation:
Academic Issues
If you have a query about an academic procedure, the Advice Service website has information on mitigating circumstances, academic appeals, and complaints. Here you will find guidance to help you follow these procedures.
If you’re worried about a deadline, please be reassured that the days the University is closed for Christmas do not count towards this. If you have a question about an academic matter, you can e-mail the Advice Service and we will respond from 7th January 2025 onwards.
