We are pleased to announce the results of the RSU Elections 2025.

RSU Elections 2025 Results 

Following a period of cross-campus voting, the results are in on this year's RSU Elections with 1872 students turning out to vote - a turnout of 16.7% beating last year’s turnout of 16%. 

There were three full-time Sabbatical Officer roles, four College Presidents, and four College Deputy Presidents vying for your votes and you cast a whopping 6284 electronic votes to select the next leaders of your students' union.  

Elected as your next President is Joshua Kayode who will lead your Students' Union in the 2025/26 academic year. Alongside Joshua Kayode, Irene Reynolds is re-elected as your Vice President Education and Sammy is elected as your new Vice President Welfare. 

Congratulations are in order for those candidates that have been elected and we look forward to working with the new officers to deliver their manifestos. 

We would like to also offer a special thank you to all the candidates, campaigners, and voters who dedicated their time, energy, and passion to this democratic process. Your contributions have truly made a difference and have helped to shape the future of the SU.

Deputy Returning Officer Statement 

These elections were conducted via a cross campus ballot through the single transferable voting System (STV), as outlined in the RSU election rules and in accordance with the bye-laws of Roehampton Students’ Union. 

The voting process and results counts are done electronically through the Students' Union's website using the in-built elections app which is provided by Membership Services Limited (MSL). 

The elections process is administered by an independent Returning Officer (RO) supported by a Deputy Returning Officer (DRO) appointed by the Students' Union's Board of Trustees in accordance with the governing documents of Roehampton Students’ Union. 

The Returning Officer oversaw the election counts, were happy confirm that these elections were held under free and fair conditions, and procedurally in-keeping with the rules and governing articles.
