Roehampton Students' Union is delighted to announce the appointment of Michael Bailey as the Union's new Chief Executive Officer.
Michael joins RSU from Royal Holloway University where he has gained considerable experience as a senior leader within their Students' Union. His time at Royal Holloway is part of over a decade spent in higher education including time as a sabbatical officer at the University of Central Lancashire. He commenced his role, Monday 6 November 2023.
Speaking of his appointment, Michael said: "I'm incredibly excited to be joining Roehampton Students' Union as their new Chief Executive Officer at what is a critical juncture in their journey.
"It is a time of change for both the University and Students' Union and I'm confident that by working together in close partnership, we'll be able to grow and meet, the changing needs of students and deliver an outstanding experience for all those studying at Roehampton.
"I'm very much looking forward to working with the sabbatical officers, the Union's Board of Trustees, University and RSU colleagues and the wider student body on building a thriving students' union."
Students’ Union President, Amy Hopkins, commented: “I’m very excited to be working with Michael. It’s a very exciting time for the Union and I’m looking forward to working together with him and other RSU staff to support students through their ever changing needs.”
The Union would like to thank Michael Wigg for his leadership and expertise during his time as interim Chief Executive Officer and wish him the best on his return to Westminster Students’ Union.
