Nominations open on 17 January 2025 at 11:00 and run through to 12 February 2025 at 11:00.
Why should you run in RSU elections?
Roehampton Students’ Union is led by elected officers, who influence every aspect of the union and as such our budget, societies, events, fresher’s week and our relationship with university departments and Colleges.
Running in the elections is not only a chance to become a part of all of this, but a chance to build your confidence and step up your leadership game. If there is something that you want to improve at Roehampton, then why not be the person to ignite that change.
What roles can I run for?
Full-time Sabbatical Officer (paid):
President:
The RSU President is the lead elected representative of the Roehampton Students’ Union (RSU) to the University, National Union of Students (NUS), affiliates and external bodies.
VP Welfare:
The RSU Vice President Welfare takes the lead on all student welfare issues at Roehampton. They ensure students are represented in such like accommodation, welfare, as well as Equality, Diversity, Inclusivity and Accessibility (EDIA) at the university.
VP Education:
The RSU Vice President Education is the elected officer with specific responsibility for pursuing the academic interests of students at the University of Roehampton.
These are graduate jobs with a salary of £27,632 per year and lots of benefits.
Part-time College President and Deputy College President:
College President:
Be the prime college representative within the Union and seek to involve as many students with the Union and College as possible
Deputy College President:
Work together with the College President, as a college representative within the Students’ Union and seek to involve as many students with the Students’ Union and College activities and events as possible.
