In accordance with the Student Union’s governing documents, we hereby give notice for the elections of full-time Sabbatical Officer Trustees and part-time College Presidents and College Deputy for the academic year 2025/26.

The positions in which nominations are invited are as follows.

Full-time Sabbatical Officer Trustee roles:

• RSU President
• RSU Vice President Education
• RSU Vice President Welfare

The positions listed above are salaried positions.

Part-time College President roles:

• Digby Stuart College President
• Digby Stuart College Deputy President
• Froebel College President
• Froebel College Deputy President
• Southlands College President
• Southlands College Deputy President
• Whitelands College President
• Whitelands College Deputy President

The positions listed above are volunteer positions.

Opening of nominations:

Nominations open 10:00 Friday 17 January 2025

Closing of nominations:

Nominations close 10:00 Wednesday 12 February 2025

Nomination eligibility:

All Full Members of the Students’ Union are eligible to nominate themselves for a Full-time Sabbatical Officer Trustee role.

All Full Members of the Students’ Union who will also continue as a Full Member in the 2025/26 academic year are eligible to nominate themselves for a Part-time College President/ Deputy College President role. Additionally, candidates will need to self-define within the College that they are running.

A Full member is:

• Every current student enrolled at the University of Roehampton, who has not opted out of membership as outlined in the Union’s governing documents.
• The current Sabbatical Officers of the Students’ Union

Voting eligibility:

All Full Members of the Students’ Union are eligible to participate in elections and referenda.

How to submit a nomination:

Nomination packs and guidance may be downloaded from roehamptonstudent.com/elections when nominations open. To submit a nomination, fill out a nomination form online at roehamptonstudent.com/elections.

Campaigning:

Candidates can only begin campaigning when they have successfully submitted their nomination. We advise candidates to focus campaigning efforts to campaign week and voting week.

Voting:

Voting opens 10:00 Tuesday 25 February 2025

Voting closes 10:00 Thursday 27 February 2025
